The diner

Pigs, trains and little references everywhere

The name is a double act: pigs and railway stations. Model trains on the shelves, a brass pig by the door, HOGTASTIC on the chalkboard, and a letterboard that reads DON’T GO BACON MY HEART. Visitors keep spotting new details on their second visit.

It’s bigger inside than it looks, clean and bright, and happy to work around allergies and diets.

“Great coffee with fancy decorations and great attention to detail. You can find little references everywhere. It's almost as if you were a regular, even though I was here for the first time as a tourist.”

Great coffee with fancy decorations and great attention to detail. You can find little references everywhere. You are greeted very warmly when you enter. It's almost as if you were a regular, even though I was here for the first time as a tourist. The coffee is excellent and the prices are absolutely reasonable. I'll definitely be back when I'm in IVC!

We visited today and it was so busy which is always great to see! , the young lady behind the coffee machine handled the guests extremely well especially with the amount of orders she was getting, our lattes arrived hot and even with a cute wee heart , our food came out a little later then normal but as to be expected, it was served with a smile regardless and tasted even better! Great job to kitchen staff and front of house! Will be back!

As soon as I walked in. It's soo presentable. Clean and bright. Gentlemen was very polite , service great. Table great only a few minutes we had to wait for food. Food amazing. Best hot chocolate ever. I had the orupuki burger. And the lady had hot cakes. Amazing food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were in Invercargill for four days. Came to the station twice. The staff are as energetic as bells, with masculine enthusiasm and unique style. There is no size choice for coffee, only mugs. The grilled pork skewers are very fragrant. The burgers are pretty good too. My son loves the pork skewers here so much.
